If you received a Statement of Eligibility and are eligible for a Temporary certificate, you must be hired to teach in a Florida School District or Charter School. Once hired, the district will request that the FLDOE issue your Temporary certificate. It will be backdated to July 1st of that fiscal year and it will expire on June 30th five years later.
Complete College Courses for Temp to Pro and sign up for Certification Exams. Unless you enroll in an EPI program through a university, you will be enrolled in the district's Professional Education Competency (PEC) program.
You can find resources to help you prepare for taking exams by reviewing these guides for Certification Exam Prep.
When you have completed all requirements, send an official transcript to the FLDOE and login to your FLDOE account to complete the Upgrade application and pay the fee.
