Commissioner's Business Recognition Awards
The goal of the Commissioner's Business Recognition Award is to recognize Florida's business leaders and partners that have shown the most commitment in bringing positive change and implementing bold, innovative approaches to improve the academic performance of students in Florida's education system and communities.

Outstanding School Volunteer Awards
The Outstanding School Volunteer Awards recognize youth (20 years and younger), adult (21-61 years old) and senior (62 years or older) volunteers with outstanding dedication to quality education based on character of service, type of volunteer contribution, number of years volunteering and breadth of service.
The Martin County School District recognizes Volunteers and Community Partners in Education annually and nominates the top volunteer in each category for the Department of Education's Outstanding School Volunteer Awards.

Golden and Silver School Awards
The Florida Department of Education Golden and Silver School Awards are presented annually to recognize exemplary schools that promote parent and community engagement in education. The Golden School Award recognizes elementary, secondary, and adult schools with exemplary volunteer programs. The Silver School Award recognizes secondary schools that provide volunteer services to elementary or other secondary schools.
*Due to COVID-19 and its implications on school systems, the FLDOE will not acknowledge statewide initiatives, awards and recognition programs facilitated by the Bureau of Family and Community Outreach including the Golden & Silver Schools Awards during the 2020-2021 school year. Revised award criteria will be shared in the coming months.
