The Martin County School Board approved Ms. Aimee Morrell's appointment as the new principal of J.D. Parker Elementary School during its Special Meeting on August 1, 2023. The school’s former principal, Dr. Melissa Riviotta, is now the Executive Director of Principals and School Improvement.
Ms. Morrell joins the J.D. Parker Elementary family from Pinewood Elementary, where she served as an Assistant Principal since 2019. Ms. Morrell joined the Martin County School District in 2010, first teaching 4th grade at Port Salerno Elementary before becoming a literacy coach.
As the new principal of J.D. Parker, Ms. Morrell will dedicate her leadership skills to student success while creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic achievement, personal growth, and community involvement.
Ms. Morrell earned her undergraduate from Florida Atlantic University and her graduate in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida. She completed the Aspiring Principal Academy and earned her School Principal certification.
