Construction of South Fork High School's new gymnasium is well under way and there are a plethora of reasons to be excited!
Driving into South Fork High School's campus, you may have noticed a large development in the process of being built. That structure will be the home of the Bulldogs' state-of-the-art gymnasium!
The gymnasium will include locker rooms for the athletes, referees and guest athletes. There will be a new weight room, multipurpose space for students, offices for faculty, storage, concession stands and a data room.
The goal is to give the students a well-designed space to use for learning and a larger facility for the community to enjoy events such as graduation and sports tournaments!
This project wouldn't be possible without the Martin County taxpayers, who generously voted to approve a half-cent sales tax increase in November 2018. The Martin County School District was able to use that money to fund this expansive capital project, which included new ballfields, a new energy-saving chiller plant and this gymnasium.
Get excited! The gymnasium is expected to be completed in Fall 2024!
