Educators across the Martin County School District will actively immerse themselves in professional development during the Halftime Professional Learning Day at Martin County High School on February 12, 2024. Professional learning sessions start promptly at 8 a.m. after a brief welcome and breakfast at 7:30 a.m.
Professional Development days in the District are one-of-a-kind. The Professional Learning team builds a schedule allowing educators to choose from dozens of sessions tailored to their needs and interests.
More than 90 choice sessions will be offered for Halftime this year, featuring instructional strategies from the Martin County School District’s Instructional Playbook. Educators will receive the Playbook, along with a backpack silkscreened by students at Jensen Beach High School.
Educators can start the day off on the right foot with a healthy breakfast and coffee provided by The Googan Coffee Shop and the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce. To maximize time and efficiency, while also promoting collaboration, food trucks will be on campus for lunch.
The Professional Learning team aims to make professional development days full of inspiration, collaboration and growth.
Attendees will have the chance to win prizes, including school supplies, personal laminators and baskets valued at more than $500, generously gifted by the Stuart/Martin County Chamber and its business partners.
This year, Halftime Professional Learning Day will end with a huge showdown of school spirit during the Maine Event, presented by Superintendent Michael Maine.
