The Martin County School District is excited to announce that the Martin County School Board has once again achieved Master Board status as designated by the Florida School Boards Association (FSBA).
The Master Board Certification is designed to offer meaningful learning sessions concentrating on student achievement through the five components of the FSBA Governance Model.
The program requires board members and the superintendent to undergo approximately 20 hours of training within a 12-month period.
Topics within the curriculum include supporting student achievement, team building, developing trust, using the Personality Compass, learning styles, listening, roles and responsibilities, district culture and incorporating each person’s unique leadership qualities to their team.
Currently, 32 school boards across the state hold Master Board certification.
