FDEP Hosts Earth Day Poster Contest

Every year, Earth Day is celebrated on April 22. This year, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) invites students to celebrate by participating in a poster decoration contest.

DEP’s Earth Day 2024 theme is “Clean is Green: Preserving Florida’s Future.” The DEP encourages 4th - 12th grade students to submit a poster that reflects this year’s theme.

Artwork will be selected from each grade group (4th - 5th grades, 6th - 8th grades, and 9th - 12th  grades) in each of DEP's six district regions and winners will receive day passes for Florida State Parks.

District winners will be entered into a statewide contest. The winning entries will also receive a full-size printed poster of their artwork. The winners will be announced in May 2024.

Students must submit their artwork by 5 p.m. on April 22, 2024. Important information regarding the rules and guidelines can be found here.
