Indiantown Middle School recently hosted its Civics Boot Camp, an initiative aimed at empowering 8th-grade students with a deeper understanding of civics and government.
The event, held on May 11th from 8:00 am to noon, provided an engaging and interactive learning experience for all students.
The boot camp addressed areas where students may have struggled throughout the academic year. Approximately 40 to 50 students participated, divided into four groups for focused learning sessions.
Each session within the boot camp was also carefully crafted to align with specific standards and learning targets, providing students with a structured and comprehensive learning experience.
Topics covered during the boot camp included: Enlightenment, Forms and Systems of Government, Differences between Political Parties, and Interplay between Checks and Balances.
Indiantown Middle School staff remain committed to providing Thunderbird students with a well-rounded education that extends beyond traditional classroom settings and preparing them to engage actively in civic life.
