Tiffany Roth Named New Principal of Murray Middle School

The Martin County School Board approved Ms. Tiffany Roth’s appointment as the new principal of Murray Middle School during its meeting on May 21, 2024. The current principal, Jeff Umbaugh, will be transitioning into a position with the Assessment and Accountability Office.

Ms. Roth, a distinguished product of the Martin County School District, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the community. She currently serves as the assistant principal at Bessey Creek Elementary School, where she earned the title Assistant Principal of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year.

In addition to her role as assistant principal, Ms. Roth has extensive experience in providing professional development to educators, ensuring that teaching practices remain innovative and effective.

Before becoming assistant principal at Bessey Creek Elementary, Ms. Roth spent time as a teacher, activities coordinator, and math department head at Murray Middle School. 

Ms. Roth earned her undergraduate degree in middle grades mathematics at Indian River State College and her graduate degree in educational leadership at the University of West Florida. Ms. Roth also completed the Aspiring Principals Academy with the District.
