Martin County School District Board Member Christia Li Roberts, District 1, was recently voted in as Vice Chair of the Florida School Labor Relations Service during the Florida School Board Association (FSBA) and Florida Association of District Superintendents (FADSS) Conference held last week in Tampa.
The FSLRS plays a critical role in guiding school districts across Florida on labor relations matters, providing essential resources, training, and support to ensure effective and equitable negotiations between school boards and employee unions.
As Vice Chair, Roberts will be instrumental in shaping policies and strategies that impact thousands of educators and support staff throughout the state.
The FSBA and FADSS Conference, where this election took place, is an annual gathering that brings together school board members, superintendents, and education professionals from across Florida.
The conference serves as a platform for discussing key issues, sharing best practices, and advancing the quality of education in the state.
