JBHS students winning 1st place at inaugural pitch competition

Jensen Beach High School’s Entrepreneurship Academy hosted its inaugural INCubatoredu Final Pitch Night in May, showcasing students’ innovation and creativity.

Throughout the school year, students in the Entrepreneurship Academy worked to find a problem worth solving and build a business creating the solution.

During the Final Pitch Night, the top three teams of entrepreneurs presented their innovative business concepts before a panel of local industry experts shark tank style.

The panel facilitated the event by asking each team questions to determine if a business concept is worthy of investment. Once the teams were finished presenting and answering questions, the panel chose which business earned first, second and third place.

Congratulations to the following three teams:

  • 1st Place – Trot Co.

    • Business concept: a company that reimagined surfboard bags

  • 2nd Place – Lifeify

    • Business concept: a time management app specifically geared toward students and student-athletes

  • 3rd Place – SailMates

    • Business concept: a website that helps competitive sailors find teammates

Each team went home with a beautifully designed award, crafted by fellow students in the Career and Technical Education programs.
