MCSD Welcomes back students for the 24-25 school year

Martin County School District students returned to school on August 12, 2024, once again filling the halls and classrooms with smiles and an eagerness to learn.

The first day of school comes with many firsts and long-lasting traditions. At Crystal Lake Elementary School, the youngest students were warmly welcomed by South Fork High School seniors from the football and cheerleading teams, who guided them through their new campus, ensuring a smooth and supportive start.

Those same seniors, along with all the South Fork High School students, later saw their brand-new state-of-the-art athletic complex as they entered Bulldog Way for the first time this year. The day was made even more special by the unveiling of the newly renovated media center, designed to be a cutting-edge hub for innovation and collaboration.

As students, teachers, and staff embarked on this new academic year, they did so with a shared sense of purpose and a renewed commitment to becoming the top education system in the state.

“When you come to the Martin County School District, you're joining a school district of caring educators,” Superintendent Michael Maine shared. “Our teachers truly care about the students that are up in front of them. They're not just a number here in Martin County, we're small enough to be a family, and we're truly excited to have them be a part of what we're getting ready to do.”
