Pledge to Vote at MCSD High Schools

The Martin County Supervisor of Elections is set to launch the annual High School Pledge to Vote Voter Registration Drive!

From Sept. 9 to Sept. 13, the elections office team will visit high school campuses throughout the District. This initiative, required by Florida Statute 98.255, offers all eligible 16- and 17-year-old students the chance to pre-register to vote. Students 18 years or older will also have the opportunity to register to vote during this time.

This voluntary, non-partisan voter registration drive is a civic educational effort aimed at encouraging voter participation among 16 to 18-year-olds.

To participate, students should be prepared with the following information to complete their voter registration application:

  • Date of Birth

  • Florida Driver's License number, Florida Identification Card number, or the last four digits of their Social Security number

  • Residential address and mailing address (if different)

Mark Cowles, Coordinator of Art, Music, Physical Education, Social Studies, and World Languages, has teamed up with Supervisor of Elections Vicki Davis and Deputy of Elections Outreach Kherri Anderson to create the following video to promote the event and provide additional information:
