Dozens of students, teachers, and school leaders from the Martin County School District came together with the community during the 9/11 Memorial Bridge Walk to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
The event, hosted by Martin County Fire Rescue, the Martin County Sheriff's Office, and the Martin County Police Athletic League (PAL), brought together local heroes and participants of all ages for a day of reflection and remembrance.
Students walked alongside first responders, veterans, and community members in tribute to those who lost their lives and the many families who have been affected since. Middle and high school students were given the opportunity to participate, receiving excused tardies if they obtained special wristbands from Martin County PAL during the event.
