The Martin County School District is proud to announce that several of its schools have been honored with the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Model School Award for the 2023-2024 school year. This prestigious recognition celebrates schools that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to fostering positive behavior, enhancing school culture, and supporting student success through the implementation of PBIS strategies.

PBIS is a nationally recognized framework that promotes positive behavior and improves student outcomes by creating a supportive and structured environment. Schools that implement PBIS are recognized for their ability to reduce behavioral problems, improve academic performance, and create an inclusive and positive school culture.

The Platinum distinction earned by Pinewood Elementary is the highest level of achievement in the PBIS model, showcasing their outstanding work in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic success.
