New AMS principal

After careful consideration and multiple rounds of interviews, including where finalists presented before teacher leaders at the school, the Martin County School District has selected Mrs. Dana Pallaria as the next principal of Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School.

Her appointment is scheduled for approval by the Martin County School Board during its meeting on February 18, 2025

Mrs. Pallaria brings a wealth of experience in education and a deep commitment to student success.

She currently serves as principal of New Horizons Elementary School, International Spanish Academy, in Wellington, Florida—a role she has held since 2019. Under her leadership, the school maintained an “A” grade from 2019 to 2023.

Before becoming principal, Mrs. Pallaria served as assistant principal at New Horizons Elementary from 2014 to 2019 and was nominated as Assistant Principal of the Year in 2017. Her extensive background also includes experience as a summer school administrator, ESE coordinator, elementary school teacher, and high school math teacher.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in English with elementary education from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, and a master’s degree in special education with a concentration in learning disabilities from SUNY Oswego. She also earned her Educational Leadership Certificate from Florida Atlantic University.

Mrs. Pallaria is eager to step into this leadership role and looks forward to serving the Martin County School District community.

She is expected to begin before the end of the month. Until her arrival, Mr. Jeff Raimann, the district’s Director of Talent Acquisition and Human Resources Operations, will continue providing support.
