The Martin County School District is proud to announce that Sarah Tuthill, Principal of Felix A. Williams Elementary, has been named a finalist for the 2025 Florida Principal of the Year by the Florida Department of Education. This prestigious recognition highlights Mrs. Tuthill’s exceptional leadership, dedication to student success, and commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in education.
“Mrs. Tuthill is an outstanding leader who consistently goes above and beyond for her students, staff, and school community,” Superintendent Michael Maine said. “Her recognition as a finalist for this statewide honor is a testament to her unwavering dedication to education. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and the positive impact she continues to make.”
The Florida Principal of the Year program celebrates school leaders who demonstrate visionary leadership, innovation, and a commitment to student achievement. Finalists are selected based on their contributions to school culture, academic performance, and professional learning.
Mrs. Tuthill, who was first recognized as the Martin County School District’s Principal of the Year in October 2024, will join fellow finalists at the 2025 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year Summit on April 11, 2025, at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. During the event, the Florida Department of Education will announce the 2025 Florida Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year.
