For two decades, Warfield Elementary School has hosted a beloved Earth Day celebration, bringing the school community together to honor the planet and its beauty.
Each year, excitement built as “eco-leaders” campaign to become the next Earth Day President. But before the votes were cast, there was plenty of celebration to enjoy.
Warfield’s kindergartners took center stage, captivating an audience of students, staff, families, and District leaders with their musical performances. Other moments included a cheer from the Warrior Cheer Squad and an Earth Day poem reading. The celebration grew even more special as the Indiantown Middle School band joined in, transforming the event into a true community-wide celebration.
Just before the big presidential reveal, the entire school performed “Listen to the Water,” in unison.
In 2024, Jasmine Jellyfish, Squirtle Shark, and Croix Crab campaigned for the title, with Squirtle Shark earning the win. In 2025, new candidates were introduced—Hopper Tree Frog, Bonita Boa, and Tango Toucan. After votes were cast, the 2025 winner was announced: Tango Toucan!
Warfield’s Earth Day celebration was more than just fun—it was a tradition rooted in learning, leadership, and love for the world we all call home.
