Four Martin County students participated in the Academic Games Leagues of America's (AGLOA) recent national tournament in Knoxville, Tennesee.
AGLOA is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing “Thinking Kids” of character, integrity, and excellence. AGLOA provides a series of Academic Games competitions throughout the nation where students who excel academically have a chance to compete and be rewarded for their accomplishments at the local, state, and national levels. These tournaments challenge students to use higher-order thinking skills in the subjects of mathematics, language arts, and social studies.
Martin County students participated in all three subject areas - LinguiSHTIK, Equations and Social Studies - at the national tournament. They had a wonderful experience exploring a new city and meeting students from throughout the country.
Congratulations to Landon Kodare (Crystal Lake Elementary School), Daphne Dupuis (Crystal Lake Elementary School), Renata Karimova (Hidden Oaks Middle School) and Varun Singh (Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School).
