MCSD 2024 Spelling Bee Winners

The Martin County School District held its 58th Annual Lillian A. Dassori Elementary Spelling Bee on January 23, and the 6th Annual Middle School Spelling Bee on January 24 at Martin County High School.

 

Three students from each of the elementary schools in the District participated in 10 rounds of the elementary spelling bee competition, taking on challenging words such as "eclectic," "sudsy," and "anaconda."

 

Felix A. Williams Elementary School student Rafael Pedrosa, 4th grade, was named the Spelling Bee Champion with the winning word “avocado.”

 

For the middle school level, five students from each middle school in the District participated in 9 rounds of competition.

 

Murray Middle School student Landon Kodare, 7th grade, earned the Middle School Spelling Bee Champion title with the winning word “uncanny.”

 

Dante Charre, an 8th-grade Murray Middle School student, took second place, and Yemil Soto, an 8th-grade Treasure Coast Classical Academy student, took third.
