The Martin County School District held its oath of office ceremony for Superintendent Michael Maine this afternoon. Superintendent Maine’s family joined school district staff for the occasion, allowing many of the employees in attendance the opportunity to meet and greet while enjoying delicious refreshments provided by our Food & Nutrition Services team. The Martin County School Board named Mr. Maine the Martin County School District’s Superintendent of Schools in April 2023, approving a four-year initial employment contract as part of the measure. #ALLINMartin👊

⚾AVID ALL-STARS⚾ 7th and 8th-grade students recently attended the College Fair and Speaker Series at the Miami Marlins stadium, where they explored local colleges and various career paths. More than 110 Martin County School District students participated, and after the fair, they were invited to the baseball game! On top of that perk, Gavin Farrell, an 8th-grade student at Dr. David L. Anderson Middle, was honored to throw the first pitch of the game, representing AMS and the District as an AVID student! #ALLINMartin👊

🍽NOURISHING ALL STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS🍽 Can you believe summer is just around the corner?! During the Summer Break, the Martin County School District will continue to nourish all students for success! Our Food & Nutrition Services Department will continue to offer free meals to children aged 18 and under during the summer months with no income restrictions. 💚MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS💚 Mental health is just as important as physical health. The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month and contribute to the efforts that fight stigma, provide support, and enhance our knowledge about mental illness. ⚛️SISTERS IN STEM⚛️ The Goyal sisters are crushing it in the STEM field and want to inspire more girls to do the same! Nina Goyal, a junior at Martin County High School, and her sister Nira Goyal, an eighth grader at Hidden Oaks Middle School, appeared on CBS 12 News Friday morning to talk about their most recent accomplishments. Both sisters made Martin County School District history; this was the first year two students won in their respective categories at the annual State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida! We wish Nira Goyal good luck while competing in the Intel International Science and Engineering STEM Competition in Dallas! Congratulations to these sisters!
