Students in Ms. Frostrom's class learned a lot and had a lot of fun counting money during math centers.
Mrs. McNealy's class had a blast on the environmental study center field trip, even if it was cold. They enjoyed going to the center to see the animals and then taking a boat ride out to Boy Scout Island for some seining and adventuring!
Our fifth grade Viking Artists are exploring three-dimensional art. They did an amazing job creating these abstract paper sculptures while putting their math skills to good use too!
Our fourth grade Viking Artists are exploring three-dimensional art. They did an awesome job creating these abstract paper sculptures while putting their math skills to good use too!
🔔NEW START TIMES FOR THE 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR🔔
The Martin County School Board approved new school start times for the 2024-2025 School Year during its regular Board Meeting tonight.
Florida HB 733, passed in 2023, requires school districts to comply with new middle and high school start times beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
To comply with the legislation, Martin County School District school start and end times have been adjusted for the 2024-2025 school year.
Because we are implementing the new times before the mandated year (2026-2027), the District will receive funds from the Florida Department of Education, which a portion of will be used to purchase a school bus tracking system for families. This system will allow verified parents and guardians to see when the bus will arrive at its stop in the mornings and afternoons, and if there are any delays along the route.

At Extended Day we use Bravo Bucks for a positive behavior reward system. This young man saved 75 bucks to be Ms. Fischer. He knows Ms. Fischer only wears black so he came dressed head to toe. Today he gets to pick any schedule he wants and make up his own set of rules.
Prior to winter break, students in fourth grade celebrated their FAST test growth from PM1 to PM2 with a whole grade level lunch bunch outside. Awesome job, fourth graders!
Mrs. Vicat's class experimented with the Law of Conservation of mass using cookies!
Mrs. Monaghan's class of scientists has been busy observing matter with mini microscopes.
TOWN HALL ON ALL THINGS EDUCATION 📣📚

Before this first session, we encourage community members to fill out a survey on topics and questions they would like to see covered during the town hall. Click here for the survey: https://bit.ly/48I7dLI
