Third and fourth grade students are collaborating during art enrichment to create six large sea life sculptures using all recycled materials. Upon completion, the whale shark, seahorse, starfish, lionfish, octopus, and sea turtle sculptures will be displayed throughout JBE to support our ECO School initiatives. We can't wait to see how amazing they look when they're completed!

Fifth grade students enjoyed collaborating to create found object sculptures in neon colors during art enrichment. These innovative sculptures will be part of a display in the glow music room during our upcoming STEAM Night.

Our Viking Artists celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month by creating amate bark folk art. The best part was crumpling-up the paper to emulate a textured bark-like surface to work on!

Our Viking Artists celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month by exploring the Mexican art form of papel picado. The mariachi music playing while they worked made it festive and fun for all!

🧡BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH🧡
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time specially dedicated to raising awareness about and preventing childhood bullying while advocating for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
Please join us next week, on Oct. 18, as we celebrate Unity Day and unite against bullying by wearing orange. The goal of Unity Day is to bring together youth, parents, educators, and community members across the nation to emphasize the message that we are united against bullying!
The Martin County School District promotes bullying prevention all year round and has zero tolerance for any form of bullying or harassment. Please encourage your child to speak with any teacher, administrator or other trusted adult on their campus if they are in need of support.
