JBE Eco-Action Team Launches Adopt-a-Habitat Program

The JBE Eco-Action Team is making a big impact at the Environmental Studies Center (ESC) with their newly created Adopt-a-Habitat program! This initiative provides vital funding to support the resident creatures at the ESC, ensuring their habitats remain healthy and thriving.

As part of their journey to become a nationally certified Eco-School by the National Wildlife Federation, students at Jensen Beach Elementary are taking the lead in environmental efforts. Through their Eco-Action Team, they host meetings, engage in eco-friendly community service, and advocate for sustainability.

Recently, the team participated in Dirty River Jam and Grandparent’s Day, spreading awareness about local ecosystems. They have also presented their efforts to the Environmental Studies Council and their peers, emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship.

Beyond conservation, these young leaders are developing valuable soft skills and leadership abilities—all while making a difference doing something they love!

Get involved and support these inspiring changemakers!
