THE BEACH ANNOUNCEMENTS Seniors today is THE LAST day to submit your Senior Survey (located in the Senior Google Classroom). This survey is extremely important because we need to know where to send your final transcript. PLEASE complete this by the end of the school day, today. FSA testing is coming up soon. May 10th is Reading Session 1 and May 11 is Reading Session 2. Make-up days are the 12th and 13th. Your Rooms for Day 1 and Day 2 may differ, so please check to see if you are moving rooms each day. Posters of room assignments will be hung in Building 4 and Guidance. Martin Youth Leadership applications are due by the end of May! If you are a current sophomore and want to be involved in leadership and leadership opportunities for the future, then get involved with Martin Youth Leadership! The Spirit Store is now open during A & B Lunch. Redeem your SOAR Cards…. 15 Tickets get you any T-Shirt!!! SPORTS NEWS Julia Thurlow of Jensen Beach HS is up for TC Palm’s Athlete of the Week. Thurlow played a huge part in the Falcons’ winning the District 12-1A Flag Football Championship with a 7-0 victory over Suncoast on Apr. 28, catching the only touchdown of the game and had eight catches for 70 yards on the night. Earlier in the week, Thurlow caught two touchdowns in both the quarterfinal and semifinal games and added two interceptions on defense in three games. Congratulations, Julia! The softball team will travel to American Heritage this evening for their next game. Good luck, girls! The baseball team will be playing in the district tournament at Merritt Island today. ⚖CONSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARS SHINE⚖ In partnership with the Center for Constitutional Values' Scholarship Fund and the YMCA of The Treasure Coast, the Martin County School District held the final round of its annual Constitutional Academic Competition this week. Students from each District-operated high school debated the U.S. Supreme Court case "Miller v. Alabama" before presiding judges. The case addressed the constitutionality of enacting life sentences without parole for juveniles convicted of capital crimes. Tickets will be sold beginning April 18 during lunch. To buy tickets you will need to complete all forms and pay all debts. Seniors are $55, Juniors and Guests are $75. All paperwork required for Prom will be available beginning on Monday, March 28th in the Dean’s Office. All JBHS students and their guests are required to have paperwork completed before being able to purchase a ticket to Prom. If you have any outstanding dues that will prevent you from buying a ticket, make sure you come to the dean’s office this week to pay them. The team will play Suncoast in the District Championship game Thursday at 6 pm. The Softball team is traveling to Vero Beach tonight. Be sure to wish the ladies good luck!

The S3 program is an initiative by which the District hires and trains students as part-time employees to serve in various paid and non-paid internships related to technology and graphic design. SPORTS NEWS The Flag Football team beat Pahokee last night 58-0 in their District Quarterfinal game. The team travels to Boynton Beach and will take on Oxbridge Academy in the District Semifinals today at 5:30. Courtney Cromer threw 4 TD passes. Julia Thurlow caught 2 TDs, ran for 1 and returned a punt for a TD. Lauren Duke rushed for a TD and had a pick-6. Deanna Allen also ran an INT back for a TD. Bella Faherty and Vivian Alcalde had receiving TDs, and Paige Bressman had 2 INTs.

✈️TAKING FLIGHT✈️ Touring Martin County's Witham Field to personally experience all things related to aviation is just one of the many benefits offered to students enrolled in Spectrum Academy's Aerospace Technologies program. The program's goal is to encourage students' interests in science, engineering and mathematics while preparing them for certification as aircraft assemblers. Students learn the fundamental theories of aircraft design and construction while also becoming proficient with the tools and processes used for aircraft assembly.
