🎄 MCHS ENG3 and AICE Gen Paper: Celebrating the Spirit of the Season Through Literature and Research! ✨ In Mrs. Brandenburg's ENG3 (American Literature) class, we’re diving into Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s Christmas Bells, written on Christmas Day, December 25, 1863, as he reflected on the pain of his son’s injury during the Civil War. It's a powerful poem about hope, peace, and resilience. After analyzing its themes, our students are creatively bringing the poem to life by writing it on a lined template and coloring two additional ones to create ornaments for display! 🎨🎄 Meanwhile, her AICE Gen Paper students are exploring the history and significance of holidays. 🎉🏆 A Victory That Means So Much More 🏆🎉 A huge congratulations to MCHS Coach John Leon on what we can confidently say is one of the biggest victories of his career! 🏅 But this victory wasn’t just about the scoreboard—it was about the impact our student-athletes had on our MCSD community. The joy on the faces of Hope Rural kids and our student athletes was contagious when the MCHS basketball team visited Hope Rural in Indiantown. But it didn’t stop there.
