We are incredibly proud to announce that Sueanna (Jasmine) Doris‑Capra has earned both a Gold Medal AND the prestigious American Vision Award in the 2026 National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards — the nation’s longest‑running and most respected recognition program for creative teens! 🏅✨
The American Vision Award is one of the highest honors in the entire competition, reserved for the most exceptional works selected for originality, technical skill, and powerful artistic voice. Out of 335,000+ submissions from over 110,000 students, Jasmine’s work stood out to top professionals in the visual and literary arts, placing her among the top young artists in the United States. 🌟
As a National Medalist, Jasmine joins an iconic legacy of past honorees — including Andy Warhol, Stephen King, and Amanda Gorman — and her artwork will appear in the 2026 Scholastic Awards Yearbook and national online galleries.

Today, we are shining a spotlight on Martin County High School senior Delaney Miller!

"My favorite memories at MCHS all included being involved in the many volunteer programs, leadership positions, and clubs around the school," the proud senior shared. "I have had the wonderful opportunity of being the MCSD Student School Board Representative for the 2025-2026 school year, which has allowed me to get a broader perspective of the whole school district, gave me leadership experience, and helped me improve my public speaking skills... All of my amazing teachers and coaches helped me achieve my goals and get me to where I am today. A special thank you to my parents and grandparents, who have supported me and had my back through everything. They are my biggest role models."

Delaney is committed to the University of Miami for the Fall (Class of 2030), and plans to study Marine Biology on a Pre-Veterinary track.

Second Parking Application Window: May 1–28

MCHS will open a Second Parking Application Window from May 1 through May 28 for any remaining parking spaces. Applications during this secondary period will be accepted before school from 8:00–8:30 AM and after school from 3:15–3:45 PM only.

This second window will operate strictly on a first come, first served basis, and students must still submit a complete application package at the time of submission. Incomplete packets will not be accepted, and applications will not be taken outside of the designated times.

The Martin County Supervisor of Elections is bringing the annual High School Pledge to Vote Voter Registration Drive back to Martin County High School—and our Tigers have the chance to take an important step in their civic journey!
📅 MCHS Visit Dates:
March 27, 30 & 31
During these visits, the Elections Team will be on campus to help eligible students pre-register or register to vote—a key milestone in becoming active, informed members of our community.
✔️ Students 16–17 years old can pre‑register to vote
✔️ Students 18+ can complete their full voter registration
(All in accordance with Florida Statute 98.255)
This voluntary, non-partisan initiative empowers students to learn about the voting process and begin building lifelong civic engagement habits.

This year, we celebrate a major milestone—the 50th Annual Music in Our Schools Concert—and our MCHS Music Tigers are ready to shine in both Chorus and Band! 💙🐯💛

Held in recognition of NAfME’s Music in Our Schools Month, this year’s theme—“United Through Music”—honors the passion, discipline, and talent of student musicians from every school in our District, as well as the dedicated educators who inspire them.
🎟 Important Ticket Information:
Seating is limited, and tickets are required for entry. Tickets are being distributed through school music teachers and will be sent home with participating students. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate families without tickets.
🎥 Can't attend? Don’t worry—a video of the performances will be shared at a later date so everyone can enjoy the magic.
🚗 Parking & Arrival Details:
• Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for ticketed guests—arrive early!
• Overflow parking will be available in the grassy area north of MCHS (west of Willoughby Blvd).
• Once seats are full, standing room will be open on the second level only. (For safety, standing is not permitted on the first floor.)
