📚🎉 The MCSD English Language Arts team is thrilled to announce the launch of the “Read, IXL, Succeed!” leaderboard challenge, just in time for Celebrate Literacy Week (January 27-31, 2025)! This exciting, district-wide competition is all about Building Literacy, Constructing the Foundation for Success – and we’re inviting all students to join the fun! 🗓 Challenge Dates: Friday, January 25th at 5:00 PM EST – Friday, January 31st at 5:00 PM EST 🎯 Objective: Schools will compete to get the highest number of ELA skills to proficiency (SmartScore of 80 or higher) on IXL ELA! Skills must be on-grade level or within 1 grade level above/below each student's current grade level to count. 🏆 Prizes: 🏅 Bragging Rights & Spirit Points: The top 3 schools will earn district-wide recognition and Spirit Points for the February Spirit Challenge. 🏆 The Read, IXL, Succeed Trophy: The top school will win a commemorative trophy! 📚 Workforce Initiative-themed Book Giveaways: Top earning students will receive special book prizes! 📖 How to Participate: ✔️ Log into IXL and start mastering those ELA skills! ✔️ Teachers and administrators – track progress and celebrate student milestones throughout the week! ✔️ Share the excitement on your school’s social media accounts to cheer on your students and school! 📚CELEBRATE LITERACY WEEK📚 Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! is almost here! Her journey began at Palm City Elementary School, continued at Hidden Oaks Middle School and led to her graduation from MCHS in 1999. Angie started working at The Pinewood Elementary while attending college and now proudly leads at Warfield.
