Today, Friday, August 8, we proudly welcomed our newest Tigers to MCHS during Freshman Orientation!
📅 Starting at 8:30 AM in the MCHS Auditorium, students met staff, explored campus life, and took their first steps into an exciting high school adventure.
We’re thrilled to have the Class of 2029 join the Tiger family and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll accomplish!

Freshman Orientation is happening tomorrow, Friday, August 8, 2025, and we can’t wait to welcome our newest Tigers!
📅 Event Time: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
🚪 Doors Open at 8:00 AM — arrive early to get settled!
📍 Students’ First Stop: Cafeteria — pick up your printed schedule
🎤 Second Stop: Auditorium — whole group presentation begins
🚶 First Transition: At 9:05 AM, students will head to their Period 1 classes to begin exploring their schedules

Freshmen who have a signed Laptop Loan Form may visit the Library Media Center to have a device issued to them.
🎓 This is a fantastic opportunity to meet staff, get familiar with campus life, and kick off your high school journey with confidence!

The first day of school is just around the corner! Now’s the perfect time to review the District’s cell phone and wireless device policy to avoid any surprises—like having to come pick up a confiscated device. 😅
🔒 Here’s what you need to know:
During school hours, cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and other wireless devices must be turned off and kept out of sight.
If a device is seen or used, it will be confiscated.
Only a parent or guardian can retrieve the device, and pick-up times are set by school staff.
Repeated violations may be considered insubordination and could lead to suspension.
📞 Need to reach your student during the day? Just call the school office—we’ll make sure they get your message.

Students who would like a MCSD-issued device must first complete the Laptop Loan Form—available in the Library Media Center and the Dean’s Office or online at https://www.martinschools.org/o/mchs/page/technology-information
✅ The form must include a parent or guardian signature.
📄 Once completed, return it to the Library Media Center to receive your laptop.
📅 Beginning Friday, August 8, 2025, devices will be issued:
