🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎 Last week, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Stuart Middle School Mr. Peter Erwig. Mr. Erwig has been an outstanding science educator in the Martin County School District for 30 years! He helps students reach their full potential and truly embodies the District's mission to educate ALL students for success. Throughout his 30-year career at MCSD, Mr. Erwig has taught Physical Education to students at J.D. Parker Elementary, coached golf at Jensen Beach High School and cross country at Martin County High School. He has also spent some of his summers sharing his love of science at the Environmental Studies Council Center. Choosing to retire was a hard decision for Mr. Erwig, but he looks forward to spending more time traveling to visit his daughters and teaching golf. Thank you, Mr. Erwig, for your dedication to your students for these last 30 years! #ALLINMartin👊

🔬STEM SUPERSTAR🔬 Congratulations to Martin County High School's Nira Goyal, who took 2nd place in the Plant Category at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Dallas, TX, last week! More than 1500 students from dozens of countries competed at ISEF. More than 600 individual and team awards are presented every year at ISEF. Grand Awards are presented in each of the 21 ISEF categories: 1st Award: $5,000; 2nd Award: $2,000; 3rd Award: $1,000; 4th Award: $500. Nira was one of 85 representatives to go to ISEF from Florida and one of 22 who walked away from ISEF as a Finalist! Congratulations, Nira! We are so proud of you! #ALLINMartin👊
