🌀 EYE ON THE STORM 🌀 🚨Update - 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25: The Martin County School District will close all MCSD-operated schools and District offices on Thursday, September 26, 2024, due to Hurricane Helene. The decision is based on the latest information from the National Weather Service and local emergency management officials. Wind speeds throughout the morning are projected to exceed limits for school bus operation, making it unsafe for transportation. MCSD continues to work closely with local emergency management officials to track the storm and will provide further information regarding District operations beyond Thursday as it becomes available. Families are urged to monitor the District's website at www.martinschools.org, social media channels, and the District's automated messaging system for updates. Families and employees wishing to receive text message notifications should text START to 98900. As a reminder, all after-school activities are also canceled. #ALLINMartin👊

As a result of Tropical Storm Helene, all after-school activities- including clubs, sports, and tutoring- are canceled for today, Wednesday, September 25, and tomorrow, Thursday, September 26. Extended Day services will continue to operate as normal today.

MCHS Swimmer, Julia Murphy, is a nominee for TC Palm's Athlete of the Week. A sophomore, Julia has collected seven victories across two meets, winning individual races in the 50 and 100 freestyle while also aiding her team to wins in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays. On Sept. 19, 2024, the day after the Air Force 77th Birthday, cadets from MCHS AFJROTC completed the Cadet Fitness Assessment. The CFA consisted of 1 minute push ups, 1 minute sit ups, and running 1 mile.
