This afternoon, we are shining a spotlight on Martin County High School senior Andrew Jochum!
"We are so proud of Andrew. He has worked hard to get to the finish line," proud mom Monica shared. "We are so thankful for all the teachers that helped him get here, but we especially are thankful for those that went the extra mile to encourage him to keep working hard when he was struggling so much learning how to learn in different ways with dyslexia. Palm City Elementary School started the journey with some incredible teachers and support. Thank you Mrs. Noonan, Mrs. Green, and Mrs. Goldman. You gave him the confidence he needed for his years at Hidden Oaks Middle School and MCHS."
"Andrew enjoyed trying new things through this education from Robotics Club at PCE, Band at Hidden Oaks, then on to Football for three years and Wrestling for all four years at MCHS," Monica continued. "We are so proud of Andrew for never giving up! For keeping that humor and smile even when times were really tough!"
Andrew plans to attend IRSC - Indian River State College and earn an associate degree in emergency medicine, and then attend the Fire Academy to become a firefighter.
🎉Congratulations, Andrew! We are so very proud of you!🎉
