Martin County Virtual School
MCVS course offerings for the 2024-2025 school year:
Health Opportunities through Physical Education "HOPE": This year-long course is offered to 9th - 12th grade students.
Driver's Education: This course is being offered once in the Fall and again in the Spring to 9th - 12th grade students (must be at least 14.5 years of age).
Spanish 1: This year-long course is offered to 6th - 12th grade students.
Spanish 2: This year-long course is offered to 7th - 12th grade students who have already completed Spanish 1.
All MCVS courses are facilitated and supported by Martin County School District teachers. While students may work on their virtual course anytime outside of their school day that is convenient, teacher support is only available during “office hours” every weekday from 4 pm to 8 pm.

Full-Time Programs
Options for full-time virtual programs:
A) MOSAIC Digital Academy - Full-time, district-sponsored program run by St. Lucie County Schools. Please visit Schools Stlucie to get started.

Eligibility:
The enrollment process begins with the parent reviewing the eligibility requirements to determine
if their child meets the criteria based on guidelines from the state.
Students are eligible to attend Mosaic Digital Academy if they meet one of the following conditions:
Student is entering Kindergarten through Fifth grade
Student is entering 6-12 and has attended a full school year in a Florida public school the previous year
Student was enrolled in a Virtual Instruction Program
in the prior year
Student has a sibling who is enrolled in a Virtual
Instruction Program
Student is a dependent of a member of the military who was t
ransferred to Florida within the last 12 months
B) Florida Virtual School Full-time (FLVS FT) Public -
Students enrolled in FLVS FT Public Program are no longer enrolled in the Martin County School district. Contact FLVS for enrollment periods.
C) FLVS Flex-Home Education Program - (Student must first be registered as a Martin County home education student).

Part-Time Programs
Middle and High School Students:
Students may take part-time virtual courses through Florida Virtual School (FLVS) for several reasons (e.g. acceleration, credit recovery,etc.). These courses maybe taken outside of the regular school day. Before registering for any courses students need to first check with their guidance counselors.

Elementary Students:
Students in grades 4/5 may qualify to take an accelerated middle school virtual course through FLVS.
Student qualifications include but not limited to:
Be self-motivated
Be an independent learner
Approval by the school's MTSS (Multi-Tiered Support System) team
Courses must be taken during the school day at the physical school site. For more information please contact your child's Guidance Counselor at least one month before the beginning of the school year.

Edgenuity; Where Learning Clicks
Edgenuity, formly E2020, is an online program used for a variety of purposes in grades 6-12. Martin County School District uses Edgenuity for initial credit, credit recovery, and test prep in alternative education settings including hospital homebound. Student accounts are set up by the home school and accessed at predetermined designated locations. Please note that not all courses listed on the website are available in Martin County. For more information please contact your student's guidance counselor.
