MMS Junior Scientists attended the Martin County Regional STEM Fair Saturday January 28 at HOMS.
Some of our students shared their interest in history this week with exhibits, papers, and presentations for the Florida History Fair. Florida History Day (FHD) is an annual, statewide activity that enhances the teaching and learning of history in middle and high schools.
Over 100 students ended their Friday with music and ice cream, celebrating making the A/B Honor Roll last quarter! 🦁 📚 💻 🎉

The Murray Middle School Boy’s Ensemble “Men of Song” participated in the 7th Annual Men’s Day at Jensen Beach High School this week. The Murray boys choir were part of an 80-piece middle school boys group under the direction of JBHS Choral Director James Paul. Bravo to all the young men!

This weekend four of our Murray Middle School band students participated in the Indian River State College 4 County Honor Band Festival. These students were nominated for their musical abilities and dedication to their band program. Congratulations to these four talented Murray Lions!

🚨LAW ENFORCEMENT ALERT FOR FAMILIES🚨
The Martin County Sheriff's Office is actively enforcing laws about the operation of unregistered golf carts in our community, particularly near school campuses. Golf carts are only permitted on roads with a maximum 35 mph speed limit, and that’s only if they are titled, registered, insured and have all the appropriate safety measures to make them street legal. Please be mindful of these regulations, as deputies will issue citations for violations.

Mr. Love answers those questions during his amazing math session, and the students are thoroughly interested in what he has to teach!

Mr. Love has been to Murray Middle School, Indiantown Middle School and Hidden Oaks Middle School so far this week. He will head to Stuart Middle School tomorrow and Dr. David L. Anderson Middle on Friday.

We had an exciting presentation yesterday at The Murray Middle School for our Algebra and Geometry students! Mr. Mark Love - a traffic engineer - came to our campus and delivered an amazing presentation, "Engineers Teaching Algebra." Students were able to see and experience "real world" Algebra applied to the field of Engineering.

Congratulations to Julissa (Julie) Alvarez-Lopez for being selected as Martin County's representative in the 2022-23 "Art in The Capitol" contest.
This statewide visual arts competition is held annually for all 6th-8th grade Florida students, and only one winner is chosen from each of Florida's 67 school districts.
Julie's artwork will be given to Representative John Snyder to be displayed during the 2023 legislative session. Afterwards, the artwork will be on display at The Martin County School Board District Meeting Room.
