Today our Algebra students got to be traffic engineers and use their Algebra skills to create safe, effective and efficient traffic signal cycles! Thank you to the Education Foundation of Martin County for bringing back Mr. Love, a former engineer to our campus for the “Re-Engineering Algebra” program.

Talented students from all Martin County School District middle and high school bands participated in the Annual Indian River State College Honor Band and Orchestra Festival this past weekend!
As the largest school outreach event in the region for secondary music students, the festival brings together exceptional young musicians from the Treasure Coast and beyond. Students were nominated by their school’s music directors, with the finalists selected by IRSC performing arts leaders.

Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! is almost here! From January 27-31, schools across the Martin County School District will bring this year’s theme to life: “Building Literacy: Constructing the Foundation for Success.”
From schoolwide read-aloud sessions and family literacy nights to transforming media centers and writing their own stories for others to read, our schools have something planned for every learner!
📖 The School Board approved a proclamation in partnership with Martin Reads, encouraging everyone to take action and support literacy in our community. Volunteer to read at your local school!

📍 The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Stuart Club at 551 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Stuart
Enjoy student performances from several different schools and get a taste of history through dish samples prepared by Martin County High School's Hospitality Management & Gastronomy students, inspired by chefs Bryant Terry and Jocelyn Jackson, two icons in culinary innovation and cultural storytelling. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County's Food Truck, Fork in the Road, will also have food for purchase.

STEM club (A.K.A. TGR Learning Lab) meets in Mr. Russell’s room starting next week 1/13.
If you have not submitted an application, but want to check it out, please come to our first meetings Monday or Tuesday.
This year we are building and launching rockets and powered planes. We are also making and taking home Ukelele’s.
Our trip is to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Great news - there are no fees or costs for this club or the field trip. Is transportation an issue? No worries! We have the activity bus that runs after school.
