🍎ASPIRING TO GROW AS LEADERS🍎 Ten Martin County School District educators have earned their School Principal Certification after attending the Aspiring Principal Academy. Their journey started last summer during a two-week-long intensive and continued throughout the past year. During this academy, these aspiring principals had quarterly site visits and full-day learning sessions. They also implemented a "change project" at their schools. The Professional Development team created this academy with the goal of building an innovative, rigorous, practical and comprehensive, collaborative and reflective program to help prepare these educators to be future principals. Each educator finished the program as an even stronger leader. Congratulations to the following assistant principals and principals: 🍎Ed Geiger, South Fork High School 🍎Aimee Morell, Pinewood Elementary 🍎Stacy Reese, Jensen Beach High School 🍎Kelli Siters, Martin County High School 🍎Trisha Elliott, Hidden Oaks Middle School 🍎Lauren Rabener, Palm City Elementary School 🍎Tiffany Roth, Bessey Creek Elementary School 🍎Dayna Carroll, SeaWind Elementary - Hobe Sound, FL 🍎Jennifer Parker, Crystal Lake Elementary School #ALLINMartin👊

🍎SHOWING APPRECIATION🍎 This morning, we are showing appreciation for Ms. Lisa Carbaugh at Palm City Elementary School! "Shout out to Mrs. Carbaugh for being the best kindergarten teacher in the universe," grateful parent Loren Esposito shared. "Her students learn new things every day and are excited to go home and share what they learned with their parents. My son absolutely loves going to school because Mrs. Carbaugh makes learning so much fun. She connects with her students on their level and treats them all like they are her own kids. The love she has for teaching is remarkable and I feel so blessed to have my son in her class. She represents the perfect kindergarten teacher by being supportive, compassionate, and very patient. She truly is one of a kind!" Thank you, Ms. Carbaugh, for going above and beyond for your students! #ALLINMartin👊 #ThankATeacher

🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎 On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Stuart Middle School's Ms. Mary Noorian. Ms. Noorian has been a Martin County School District educator for 31 years, focusing on computer-related education for most of her career. She started at Warfield Elementary School teaching Computer Lab and transferred to Palm City Elementary School to teach those kiddos how to use the computer. At one point, she helped teachers across the District how to set up and use the Microsoft Office Suite--when email was first introduced! She later worked at Port Salerno Elementary School as a Media Specialist for 14 years, then at Stuart Middle School as a media specialist for the last six years. You name the job or club sponsor; Ms. Noorian has done it! She always went the extra mile to support students, colleagues and parents. Ms. Noorian, we wish you the best in retirement spending time with your grandbabies and puppy. You will be missed! #ALLINMartin👊
