🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎
Last week, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Warfield Elementary School's Ms. Kathy Ahern.
Ms. Ahern has been an educator with the Martin County School District for 28 years. Ms. Ahern touched the youngest lives in the District, as she spent most of her career either as a Pre-K teacher or Kindergarten teacher. She is known for creating magic in her room and having incredible patience. Ms. Ahern inspired colleagues while working at Warfield Elementary School and Port Salerno Elementary School.
"Mrs. Ahern is an outstanding teacher, colleague, mentor and friend. She leaves a legacy of dedication and passion for education behind and she will truly be missed," Warfield Principal Cristina Smith said.
Mrs. Ahern, we wish you the best in retirement! Thank you for helping educate ALL Martin County School District students for the last 28 years.

🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎
On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Stuart Middle School's Ms. Mary Noorian.
Ms. Noorian has been a Martin County School District educator for 31 years, focusing on computer-related education for most of her career. She started at Warfield Elementary School teaching Computer Lab and transferred to Palm City Elementary School to teach those kiddos how to use the computer.
At one point, she helped teachers across the District how to set up and use the Microsoft Office Suite--when email was first introduced! She later worked at Port Salerno Elementary School as a Media Specialist for 14 years, then at Stuart Middle School as a media specialist for the last six years.
You name the job or club sponsor; Ms. Noorian has done it! She always went the extra mile to support students, colleagues and parents.
Ms. Noorian, we wish you the best in retirement spending time with your grandbabies and puppy. You will be missed!

🍎SHOWING APPRECIATION🍎
This afternoon, we have a very special appreciation shoutout for first-grade teacher Ms. Jackie Davis at Port Salerno Elementary School!
"Mrs. Davis shares her heart with her students," grateful Martin County School Board Member Amy Pritchett shared. "The love and caring that she provides while teaching them is evident at all times. Her smile lights them up as well as her personality. She does the little things to make sure the students know how special they are. She welcomes them into the classroom with a big hearty good morning and the students respond in kind. The students and Martin County are so fortunate to have Mrs. Davis!"
Thank you, Ms. Davis, for everything you do for your students!

🍎CELEBRATING TEACHERS🍎
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Without our amazing teachers, the Martin County School District couldn't educate ALL of our students for success. Thank you, teachers, for everything you do each and every day to help our students achieve their dreams.
"Every day, you come to school with a passion for teaching and a desire to help our students reach their full potential," said Mr. Michael Maine, Superintendent of Schools. "You inspire them to learn, to grow, and to achieve their dreams. You provide them with the tools they need to succeed, both academically and personally. You create a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive and be their best selves."
We appreciate you!

🎉CELEBRATING PRINCIPALS🎉
Administrator. Leader. Teacher. Friend. Substitute. Difference maker.
These are just a few adjectives to describe a school principal.
We know our school principals wear many hats. We know that no matter which hat they must wear at any given point of the day, they are determined to help every student and teacher succeed.
On this School Principals' Day, we can't thank ours enough. Thank you for everything you all do for our students and our community ❤️
