The Martin County School District proudly celebrates the extraordinary impact of its volunteers and business partners each year. During the 2024-2025 Volunteer and Business Partner Awards Ceremony, held on April 24, 2025, the District recognized the dedicated 4,329 volunteers who make a lasting difference in the lives of our students and schools.
In the 2024-25 school year, the District’s volunteers generously contributed over 62,000 hours of service, showcasing the incredible commitment of our community.
Every school nominated one standout student, adult, senior volunteer, and community partner for recognition. At the District level, this year’s honorees were:
Charlotte Nebbeling – Student Volunteer of the Year, Martin County High School
Wendy Von Holstein – Adult Volunteer of the Year, Felix A. Williams Elementary School
Wendy was also named the Outstanding Adult Volunteer by the Florida Department of Education!
Joe Flanagan – Senior Volunteer of the Year, Martin County High School
“Thank you to all of our volunteers and community partners for exemplifying the compassion, generosity, and commitment that define the Martin County School District,” said Superintendent Michael Maine.
