📣 Attention Bulldog Staff and Families! 📣
We’re excited to share some important updates about school supplies for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. As many of you know, our school district has generously offered funding support to help ensure all students are equipped with the essentials they need. Here’s a quick breakdown to clear up any confusion:
💸 Each high school has been given $5000 to cover the basics like pens, pencils, folders, and paper. If we need more, we can request additional funds.
📦 We’ve already placed supply orders for essential items like markers, copy paper, and highlighters that are in addition to district funding. These were ordered over the summer to be ready for the school year.
🎁 We’re grateful for the generous donations from our business partners, which means we already have many supplies on hand.
🏫 With 100 teachers, it’s challenging to predict exact needs for each class. Therefore, we’ve prepared starter supplies for every classroom to cover basic needs.
🙌 While we’re thrilled about the extra district support, rest assured that we’ve always made sure students have what they need to succeed.
🎒 Please note that the funding does not cover backpacks, calculators, lab fees, or specialty supplies for career technical or art courses.
📝 Teachers might still provide a “wish list” of additional items that are not covered by this funding.
🔄 Once the school year is underway, we’ll re-evaluate and purchase more supplies as needed.
South Fork High School, in partnership with the Martin County School District, is committed to making sure every staff member and student has what they need for a successful school year. We hope this message helps clarify things!
Let’s make the 24-25 school year the best one yet! Go Bulldogs! 🐶💪

🚨🐾 New Bulldog Alert! Please welcome Emma Preston to the ESE team! She says "I graduated from UMass Boston in 2023 with a psychology degree. As soon as I got my diploma, I got a job as a paraprofessional working in an 8th grade special education classroom. Throughout this last school year I got the opportunity to create such strong bonds with my students and watch them flourish, both academically and socially. I worked for the district’s extended school day program. There I had the pleasure of working as a 1:1 with a little boy with a developmental disability. I am so excited to be a part of this community!" We are excited to welcome you! 🐾
