🎓#MCSDSENIORSTORIES🎓 This afternoon, we are shining a spotlight on South Fork High School seniors Adriaan and Sebastian Van Agtmaal-Bonet! "Time management at its best! It is often hard to show your kids how much more they can do when they stay focused," proud mom Lisandra shared. "For us and our twins Adriaan & Sebastian, it took some time, many encouraging talks, and the amazing Staff of the IB Program of SFHS to get the message through. Now as seniors, we look back and the boys can see that they both had challenges with the IB Program but never gave up on it. They did not let their SFHS Swim & Dive Team down either. They still added to their routine: working responsibly at the YMCA of The Treasure Coast as Summer Camp Leaders, After-School Care and Lifeguarding. And finally, their senior schoolmates bestowed upon them both the “Life of the Party” superlative! It’s been a fun and very well-balanced act. The IB Program was doable after all, and having fun remained in the equation! Adriaan & Sebastian have both had tremendous personal growth; the challenges conquered have given them more self confidence, have helped them expand their critical thinking, and have set them on a great academic path with a wonderful future ahead." 🎉Congratulations, Adriaan and Sebastian! 🎉 We are so proud of you! This weekend South Fork High School Automotive Students put on their first car show. It was a successful event with well over 100 cars in attendance. Congrats to all we can't wait to see what next year brings.

"Summer is in the Academy of Landscape & Turfgrass Management CTE program at South Fork High School. She’s earned a FNGLA Certification, is an FFA officer, an officer for her 4-H Club, and is a member of SGA," proud mom Natasha shared. "She represented her county as Miss Martin County 2022 and is passionate about giving back to her community. The CTE program has fostered her love for the agriculture field and she’s grateful for all the guidance & encouragement she’s received from her Turf & AG teachers, Ms. Schepman & Mr. Crum! Summer has made so many great memories at South Fork and is excited for the next chapter of her life....We could not be more proud of her! Due to the recent wildfires, South Fork’s choice night has been postponed to Tuesday April 11 from 5pm-8pm

On Friday, SFHS Winterguard performed in Daytona at the FFCC Championships. They placed 5 out of 12 in our round and 16 out of 48 in our whole division. Senior Marisa Mitchell received a Guard Scholarship and Special Award for outstanding commitment to the performing arts.

"Throughout her four years at South Fork, Alli has continued to challenge herself both academically and athletically," proud mom Nicole shared. "Alli is an honor student with a 4.0 GPA. She is enrolled in the Medical Science CTE Program and dual-enrolled at IRSC - Indian River State College. Alli is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Student-Athlete Leadership Team. Alli has been a member of the South Fork Varsity Volleyball team since her freshman year. She has also played eight seasons of club volleyball, which allowed her to play competitively at the local, regional, and national levels." Alli plans to continue her academic and volleyball career at the University of West Georgia, majoring in Health and Community Wellness and minoring in coaching. 🎉Congratulations, Alli! 🎉 We are so very proud of you! 🚗ENJOYING THE RIDE🚗 South Fork High School's Automotive Technology Program hosted its first-ever Car Show this weekend. The event was managed all by students, and it was a huge success! South Fork High School collaborated with Project LIFT and Martin County High School's Automotive Technology Program for the trophies. They were welded by hand and painted a different color for each award category. Students selected winners based on what they've learned so far in class this year. "It was incredible to see students from both MCHS and SFHS bond over a common passion, learning from community members who are experts in the auto industry! True learning and collaboration happened, and we are beyond proud of our students," SFHS Assistant Principal Jackie Scott said.
