The Martin County School District held its oath of office ceremony for Superintendent Michael Maine this afternoon. Superintendent Maine’s family joined school district staff for the occasion, allowing many of the employees in attendance the opportunity to meet and greet while enjoying delicious refreshments provided by our Food & Nutrition Services team. The Martin County School Board named Mr. Maine the Martin County School District’s Superintendent of Schools in April 2023, approving a four-year initial employment contract as part of the measure. #ALLINMartin👊

Our Food & Nutrition Services Department will continue to offer free meals to children aged 18 and under during the summer months with no income restrictions. "Jennifer brings energy and warmth to our Jensen Beach Elementary School clininc. She welcomes students and staff with a smile when she visits us. We will miss her greatly next year," JBE Principal Jen Radcliff shared. "Katrina has immersed herself in student life at Willoughby Learning Center. She is compassionate, empathetic, and respectful to all of her students and peers," the Martin County School District Health Services Team said. The WLC Girl talk Club wanted to extend a THANK YOU to all the teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week, as well as all staff in our school. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

You Grow Girl! Ms. Mulberry's 6th - 8th grade class at WLC has been nurturing an AeroGarden Farm in the classroom. The system automatically waters, fertilizes, and lights the plants everyday. It includes Basil, Chives, and a variety of Lettuces. Everyone in class talks to the plants each day, and are sure it has helped them grow! The system was donated to the class by Satine Mulberry, Leader of The WLC Girl Talk Club and Junior at MCHS. Next year the class plans to expand their garden to include tomatoes, peppers and a larger variety of herbs.
