Mr. Bottari’s appointment was approved during Tuesday night's Regular School Board Meeting. The former Assistant Principal, Ms. Shameeka White, is the new Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Stuart Middle School. Mr. Bottari joins the Martin County School District with experience in school leadership, as he was most recently the Principal of Barnum Woods Elementary School in New York. Mr. Bottari has also served as an assistant principal and science teacher. Congratulations, Mr. Bottari! #ALLINMartin👊

Cone Juried Art Show, hosted by MartinArts, were recognized. 🚌CELEBRATING A LEGACY🚌 Members of the School Board, Superintendent Michael Maine, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Tracey Miller and Assistant Superintendent of HR Julie Sessa celebrated the career of Mr. Tom Hardin during the School Board meeting Tuesday night. Since joining the Martin County School District as the Director of Transportation in 2021, Mr. Hardin has made a lasting impact on the department. His achievements include assisting the District secure one of the highest salary rates on the Treasure Coast for bus drivers and fostering a sense of community and appreciation through monthly cookouts and the initiation of a transportation employee of the month program. We are grateful for his dedication to the safety of our students and staff, and wish him the best in retirement! #ALLINMartin👊

⛈HSE WEATHER ALERT⛈ We've experienced extreme inclement weather in the area near campus today, including a suspected tornado. It's important for our families to know that students and staff participating in summer programs are completely safe. Right now, out of an abundance of caution, parents/visitors are not permitted to enter campus. Once given the all clear to bring buses onto campus, we will transport all students who are on campus to Port Salerno Elementary School for pickup. We ask families to remain patient and stay tuned for more info. Students and remain safe and families will be contacted once buses are leaving our campus for Port Salerno Elementary School. COMING SOON TO BULLDOG NATION 🚧🐾 Demolition of the original South Fork High School gymnasium is underway, a cornerstone of the campus since 1983. As we bid farewell, we look ahead to the future-- the new state-of-the-art sports facility is nearing completion! Thanks to the Martin County taxpayers for generously voting to approve a half-cent sales tax increase in November 2018, the Martin County School District was able to fund this new gym and other capital projects throughout the District. We look forward to unveiling a surprise in the new facility incorporating a piece of history. Stay tuned Bulldog Nation! 🍎CELEBRATING A LEGACY🍎 During the Project SEARCH completion ceremony, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Dr. Lisa Estevez and Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Department leaders celebrated the career of Ms. Kim Brown. Ms. Brown has been an educator for 37 years, with 21 years serving the Martin County School District. For the past three years, Ms. Brown has made an incredible impact on the students in the Project SEARCH program, teaching them employability skills and guiding them to reach their dreams.
