🎨CELEBRATING CREATIVITY🎨 Martin County High School was recently awarded a Gold rating from the Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) for their incredible work on their 2022-2023 yearbook! The rating tiers include All Florida, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit. The evaluation is voluntary, albeit incredibly thorough and provides extensive, actionable feedback. "I am thrilled that our rating reflects the hard work and dedication of our students," Ms. Haynes, the MCHS yearbook advisor, shared. "He played in Savannah, at Savannah State University, representing team Florida in the Future Stars Game. He also visited Florida State University and got to check out Doak Campbell Field," proud mom Michelle shared. "We visited the University of Florida, where he got a tour of the athletic facility and got to be a Gator for an afternoon. Then he went to Naples, where he was selected by Football University FBU for their Top Gun showcase, which showcased the top 1,500 athletes in the country. In between all of that, he attended all his summer conditioning sessions with Coach Blatch at SFHS! He is so ready to play some Bulldogs football!" #ALLINMartin👊 #PublicSchoolProud

"They visited Rome, Florence, Sorrento, Capri, the Amalfi Coast, Pisa, Pompeii and Herculaneum," proud mom Krsytal shared. "While she was there, she hiked into Stonehenge - one of the best-known ancient wonders of the world," mom Lara shared. ⭐COLLABORATING FOR SUCCESS⭐ Back-to-school collaborative learning is underway for teachers at Spectrum Academy! Spectrum Academy continues its work with the National Dropout Prevention Center. Teachers are delving deep into research-based, effective strategies to support students at risk of not graduating. "We are focusing on collaboration with families and community partners to increase student engagement and success," Spectrum Academy Principal Janice Mills shares. ☀️🌊#MCSDSummerAdventures☀️🌊 Martin County High School student Kate and her brother Luke, a Stuart Middle School student, took a summer trip to the United Kingdom with their family! "We stayed in and explored London and Cambridge in England, and also Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland," mom Jacqueline shared. "It was fun to see so many sites and landmarks that have been important throughout world history. We saw Big Ben, the Tower of London, Kensington and Buckingham Palace, and much more. We braved the tube system 🚇 and “mind the gap” each time. We visited the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh and The British Museum in London. There we browsed through many exhibits of scientific, historical, and artistic importance. Kate has just completed the Cambridge Assessment International Education program at MCHS, so visiting the University of Cambridge was especially enriching. Both students also row with Treasure Coast Rowing Club and we watched many rowers in action in Cambridge." #ALLINMartin👊 #PublicSchoolProud
