Exciting news for all Martin County School District families!
In a new initiative to support student success and ease financial burdens, Superintendent Michael Maine has directed the District's Finance Division to allocate funds to completely cover the cost of school supplies for students attending any of the MCSD-operated elementary, middle and high schools.
That means any purchases for school supplies families choose to make are optional and not required!
Superintendent Maine shared, "We are committed to supporting our students and their families. By providing these essential supplies, we are removing barriers to learning and ensuring that every student is ready to start the school year on the right foot."
This initiative will provide:
$20,000 for each elementary school
$10,000 for each middle school
$5,000 for each high school
Schools will still share supply lists with families, who may still be required to purchase items such as backpacks, lab fees for secondary students, or special calculators, etc.
