Grade 4️⃣ classes had “Virtually” the best day before a holiday break possible! The Children’s Museum brought the “Dig-It” program, sharing our local Ais Native American tribe history with the students with 👋hands on history and activities. Smiles and learning by all involved!

🍀HSE 4 H Club had visitors last week: Hobe Sound Nature Center. It was such a great way for the students to have a hands on experience with Native wildlife and learn all about their adaptations. The students were so excited to feel the underbelly scales of the corn snake and discover how they use them to be amazing climbers. 🐍Did you know snakes can't hear?! We also learned the difference between venomous and poisonous creatures. Baby Meadow, the alligator 🐊 was a favorite. We enjoyed getting to touch her boney external plates and learn how they are used for temperature control. Head, heart, hands, health. 🍀

Science Lab Fridays! During all investigations, our scientists employ their basic skills including using equipment safely and reading it accurately. Today, grade 3️⃣: measured solids finding and describing mass vs. weight.
Grade 5️⃣ measured volumes of a liquid, keeping account of the meniscus. 🧪

💻Holiday IXL Hustle competition for our students. Bring as many ELA, Math, and/or Science skills to proficiency (SmartScore of 80+) on IXL from December 20th - January 5th. Top three students from each grade level will get to have a special lunch with the Prinicpals on January 8th! 🎉

🚗🚙 💨 Grade 5️⃣ students have been engaged in hands on labs involving force and motion these final school days of 2024.
🎯Identify familiar forces that cause objects to move, such as pushes or pulls, including gravity acting on falling objects. The greater the force, the greater the change in an object.
