The Martin County School District will join other districts throughout the state in participating in “Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida!” from January 22-26, 2024. This event is an annual celebration designed to raise awareness about the importance of reading and to inspire students and families to make reading part of their daily routines.
This year’s theme, created by the Florida Department of Education, is “Believe in Your Shelf, Building Resiliency Through Reading.” Schools have scheduled several daily activities designed to help students build confidence in their reading skills.
