The Education Foundation of Martin County knows how to treat Martin County School District teachers like the incredible educators they are!
The Education Foundation of Martin County’s Teacher of the Year Awards Celebration was held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Event Center in Port St. Lucie. The event was presented by Audi Stuart, Infiniti Stuart and Alfa Romeo Stuart.
The night was filled with good food, great dancing, and even better camaraderie among colleagues.
During the event, The Martin County School District and Education Foundation of Martin County announced that Martin County High School's Richard LoSardo was named the District’s 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year!
Mr. LoSardo, an alumnus of Martin County High School and Florida Atlantic University, has been an educator for six years at his alma mater. As the school's Debate and Cambridge AICE Global Perspectives & Research teacher, he is dedicated to fostering his students' growth as critical thinkers and has established a learning environment that empowers them to share their points of view through well-researched arguments and presentations.
In addition to honoring the District’s 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year, winners were recognized in the Elementary, Middle and High School categories:
-Elementary School Teacher of the Year – sponsored by MIDFLORIDA Credit Union: Rachel Reinhardt, Port Salerno Elementary - Fifth-Grade Teacher
-Middle School Teacher of the Year – sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities: Monica Pool, Stuart Middle School - Reading Teacher
-High School Teacher of the Year – sponsored by Keiser University: Richard LoSardo, Debate/AICE Teacher - Martin County High School
