Sports News Anyone interested in trying out for the Basketball Cheer Team must have a complete Athletic Physical packet on file and complete the Teacher Recommendation form. The Florida Legislature designated the last full week in September as "Celebrate Freedom Week" to highlight the significance of the Declaration of Independence. 🌟 A huge shoutout to our incredible Jensen Beach High School Band and SGA Officers for stepping up again this year to support Felix A. Williams Elementary students and their Start With Hello initiative. 🎶👏 Start With Hello is a national program that teaches empathy and empowers students to end social isolation. JBHS Band Director, Mr. Tom Dougherty, says of the program and the schools' partnership: “There is always a bigger picture and purpose to why we do what we do...things like this, where we can teach kids to just be better people to each other and for themselves...” 🙌 FAWE teacher Jessica Urbay says, "These are some of the MOST IMPORTANT lessons we can teach, and I’m so glad you all share that mindset. The Beach Announcements Friday, September 20, 2024 Happening today: Biology EOC Retakes The JBHS PTSA is hosting an ACT Practice Test Fundraiser tomorrow, Saturday, Sept 21 at JBHS. The practice test will be proctored, students will get a baseline score and will be able to review their results with Class 101. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated September 15-October 15th. Sports News Both the girls' and boys' bowling teams continue to roll through this season, defeating Centennial yesterday. Senior Hannah Whetzel's 190 and Junior Chris Bell's season-high game of 169 led the lady Falcons to a 2-0 victory over the Eagles and improving the girls' team record to 8-0 this season. The boys, led by Senior Henry Dieffenbach's 410 series and Junior Aiden Wintercorn's 409 series, defeated the Eagles in a Baker tie-break. The boys rolled Baker scores of 239 and 212 to up their season record to 6-2.

The IRSC Dual Enrollment Coach will now be on our campus every THURSDAY to assist students in the Guidance Office. Drama Club meeting 3:30, Auditorium. The SWENext/STEAM club meets at 3:30 in the Auditorium. This club meets in conjunction with the Drama club. SWENext/STEAM uses the workshop space to build projects and design items for performances. Students, do you enjoy art, music, and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films, and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTSA Reflections! Pick up submission guidelines and an entry form today from The Knowledge Center (Media Center). This year’s theme is “Accepting Imperfection”. All Entries are due by Friday, October 25th no later than 3:15 pm. Jensen Beach High School is proud to introduce our Guidance Department. Mrs. Lee Searfoss attended Minnesota State University, earning a BS in Law Enforcement & Corrections, and Indiana University for her MSW. She currently attends FAU to earn her Ed.S degree. Mrs. Searfoss says she became a guidance counselor because, "I have always worked with teenagers, as a Juvenile Probation Officer for 16 years, an ESE teacher for ten years, and now a counselor. I am drawn to young people because they hold the promise that tomorrow can be better than today. I hope to positively influence them to make good choices, independent of peers, and let them know someone is rooting for them." Her favorite part of her job is, "Getting to know my students as individuals and knowing I play a small part in shaping their future."

Jensen, Martin and Southfork High Schools came together yesterday, wearing red, white and blue, to honor and remember the thousands of lives lost and those affected by the tragedy of September 11, 2001. We will never forget.❤️💙❤️💙

Congrats to the Varsity football team for being #1 in the TCPALM football rankings and #10 State ranking in class 4A for the first time in school history. Friday Night's game is Military Night, and we are asking all former and current military to attend stand and be acknowledged for your service to our country. Coach Caffey is asking everyone to wear teal for the game in the Birdcage on Friday. Coach Caffey will also have a surprise announcement on Friday morning for all students.
