SGA and Leadership will sell Valentine's Carnations before school in the courtyard and during lunches starting Monday, Feb. 5th - Feb. 9th. Flowers will cost $2.00 apiece.
NHS News: In honor of the Super Bowl, this week we are holding a “soup”er bowl drive to benefit House of Hope! Please bring in cans of soup and we will have boxes out at lunch labeled with the 2 NFL teams - put your soup cans in the box of the team you want to win. All soup will be donated at the end of the week! Please help make this a success – all students are welcome to participate!
Our monthly meeting is this Wednesday, February 7th right after school; our activity will be making candy grams for our teachers and the students at Gertrude Walden; please bring candy donations if you are able (hours provided)!

Martin County School District high school athletes joined in on the celebrations for an incredible donation to Ms. Rina's House Of Blessings and Elev8hope Compassion in Action.
Gatorade, in partnership with Serena Williams, donated $50,000 through the Equity in Sports initiative.
Elev8Hope goes #ALLINMartin👊 24/7, 365 days of the year for the most vulnerable residents in our community, including students. We are extremely grateful for their partnership and proud of the students who help fulfill Elev8Hope's mission.

The ASVAB Career Exploratory Program will start at 8:20 in the Auditorium tomorrow, Thursday, morning.
All registered students should go directly to the Auditorium, do not go to your First Period class.

Any student caught reading by a staff member might receive a ticket to enter a drawing for a gift card to Barnes and Noble. In the Genre Bingo game, students can win free books for completing rows of activities on the card. Cards are available in the media center and many teachers’ classrooms. Winners of the Bookmark Design and Caught Reading Contests will be announced Friday.
Upcoming college reps to visit JBHS: Grand Canyon University will be on our campus on Tuesday, January 30th conducting a college visit. They will visit the AVID 3 class 2nd period and will be in the Media Center during 5th period/lunches. To learn more about all that GCU has to offer, sign up for the visit in Guidance.

All registered students should go directly to the Auditorium, do not go to your First Period class.
Attendance will be taken care of for the periods that students miss during the assessment.

On Monday, January 22, dress like your favorite or most memorable story character—it could be a character from a childhood book, a more recent novel you have enjoyed, or even from a story you have read in English class.
