If you are taking dual enrollment classes next year or this summer, you must sign a contract. A paper copy of the contract is available in the guidance office. You can also find the contract in an attachment on the sophomore and junior google classrooms. The contract must be signed by student and parent prior to the fall registration deadline (JULY 27, 2022) so you will be approved to take classes. If you have any questions, please contact your counselor.
The Hoke Library has several volunteer opportunities for teens this summer! It’s a great way to earn volunteer hours and spend some time at your local library:
Teen Summer Reading: Submit a book review online by going to mcls.beanstack.org or via the Beanstack Tracker mobile app. A badge will be earned for each book review submitted. Each badge will count as 1 hour of volunteer time and an entry into the $50 Amazon gift card raffle. Teens can submit up to 50 book reviews! The raffle will be drawn after August 10.
Teen Community of Service: Environmental Awareness – Friday, June 3rd from 10am-5pm; Teen Community of Service is a self-paced volunteer program where teens learn about local and national subjects and create projects that give back to our Martin County community. Pick up your kit and learn about this month’s topic, Environmental Awareness. Teens will track their progress and hours in Beanstack, and they can earn up to 23 hours for the month. This program is for ages 11-18. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Martin County Library System. Registration is required.
Graduation practice will be held today and Monday from 9:00AM to 1:00 PM in the gym.
Martin Youth Leadership applications are due by the end of May. If you are a current sophomore and want to be involved in leadership and leadership opportunities for the future, then get involved with Martin Youth Leadership. There is a link on the news page of the JBHS website, or see Mrs. Vinette in room 239 with any questions.
The Band Welcome Camp will begin at 6:00 PM this evening in the auditorium.

Superintendent John D. Millay and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Ms. Conney Dahn last evening. Ms. Dahn, a longtime educator of students with exceptionalities at Jensen Beach High School, holds the distinction of being Martin County's only educator to earn the Florida Department of Education's Teacher of the Year award. She retires with 34 years of service to the children and schools of Martin County.
Best wishes in your retirement, Ms. Dahn!

Senior Movie Night and Cap decorating will be held tonight starting in the cafeteria at 6:00 PM.
The last School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting of the school year will be held tomorrow at 3:15 in the Media Center.
Tomorrow night at 7:00 PM, the Jubilate Spring Concert will be held in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets cost $5.00 at the door with kids 12 and under free. Be sure to come by to hear the beautiful vocal talent of our students!
