THE BEACH ANNOUNCEMENTS for Thursday, October 7, 2021 Pink Week is coming. During the Week of October 11- October 15 Jensen Beach High School will go pink in honor of Breast Cancer Survivors. Bring out your best Pink Clothing. On Friday Night October 15th the Theme for the game will be PINK. Homecoming Dance Paperwork will be available in the Dean's Office starting MONDAY, October 11th! Homecoming Dance Tickets will be on sale from 10/18 - 10/29 during both lunches! There will be Debate meetings for anyone attending the October 16th tournament TODAY 10/7 after school until 4. This is only for kids who want extra time and help to prepare for the tournament. Next Thursday and Friday 10/14 and 10/15 there will be a MANDATORY debate meeting from 3:10-4:00 for anyone attending the October 16th. Pick a day and attend ONE. If you cannot make it after school, please see Mrs. Seaboyer at 8:00 AM on Friday October 15th in her classroom. She NEEDS to see you before the tournament. If you are an 11th/12th grader and received a PSAT Student Guide Book, you are also scheduled to take the PSAT on 10/13. The Homecoming dance is right around the corner on October 30th. Please remember that all fees MUST be paid in order to purchase a ticket to the dance. Check your FOCUS accounts now to take care of this before tickets go on sale. If you have questions about any fees, please come to the Dean’s Office to speak with the Bookkeeper. If you are attending the October 16th debate tournament, you need to confirm your entry with Mrs. Seaboyer TODAY. If you owe the $75 dues, you cannot register for the tournament. Please pay them by WEDNESDAY if you want to compete in October. Scholarship Information is LIVE. Please go to the Senior Google Classroom (CLASSWORK SECTION - GUIDANCE - SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION ) . All information and links are provided for you . We will also be holding a Scholarship Information Night on November 3rd in the Auditorium from 6-7 pm. Math Honor Society will be tutoring every Thursday from 3-5pm in room 138. The tutoring will be in-person, but there will also be a Zoom option. If you are interested in getting SAT/ACT tutoring or just getting some help with your Math homework, please join us. SPORTS NEWS The JV Football Team plays John Carroll tonight at HOME. Kickoff is at 6 pm, come on out and cheer the team on! New and returning students interested in Boys' Lacrosse: The boys' lacrosse team will be holding weekly skills clinics & 7-on-7's every Wednesday from 6:30-8pm. These skills clinics & 7-on-7's will be every Wednesday evening on the West Practice Field closest to the tennis courts and will go through November 17th. The cost is $10 per player for all sessions. Not $10 per session, but a one-time $10 donation. Cash or check. Checks should be made payable to "JBHS Boys' Lacrosse. Please be sure to bring your own water. 🍎INDIVIDUAL SCORE REPORTS FOR SPRING 2021 ASSESSMENTS🍎 The Martin County School District has received students' individual score reports for Spring 2021 statewide assessments from the Florida Department of Education. Schools have sorted the reports - students' individual records will be sent home with them no later than tomorrow, October 4. If your child took any of the following assessments last spring, please be on the lookout for the appropriate personal score report(s) in their belongings: 🍎English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics or Science Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) 🍎Biology, U.S. History, Civics or Geometry End-of-Course Exam (EOC) If your child took one or more FSAs or EOCs last school year and you have not received their individual score report(s) by tomorrow evening, please contact their school for assistance. As the score reports are distributed to school districts in hard copy format from the Florida Department of Education, they will not be available for viewing in the FOCUS Parent Portal. 📚EXPLORING LOCAL RESOURCES📚 Students in Ms. Spooner's Advanced Placement (AP) Research class at Jensen Beach High School recently visited the Martin County Library System's Hoke Branch to learn more about the different resources offered by the library. Students learned how to access the library's catalog and databases for research they perform as part of their AP coursework.
